Students at West Buncombe Elementary packed their imaginations - and some special hats - for an epic journey.

Throughout the day, students filled the theater, wearing special thinking caps they decorated in class. They talked about the word “visualization” and how to make the words in a book come to life in their minds. Then, a special guest entered the room. Harold, of “Harold and the Purple Crown,” visualized a journey from one of his stories and illustrated it on a canvas that covered half of the room.
