I am proud to be part of such a wonderful community and school. I would like
to share a little bit about myself. My educational career began in Mitchell County.
I am a graduate of Mitchell High School. I always knew from a young child that I
wanted to be a teacher. I followed my dreams and graduated from Lees-McRae
College with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. My first teaching career began
in Yancey County as an ESL teacher. I then moved into the classroom teaching
4th grade at Bald Creek Elementary. I spent 10 years in Yancey County with a
focus in primarily 3rd and 4th grade. Additionally, I received my Masters in
Instructional Technology Facilitator/Specialist. After 10 years my family and I
decided to join the Weaverville Community which led me to North Buncombe
Elementary. My husband, Brandon and I have a vivacious little girl named Zoë.
I am also blessed with triplets: Maddox, Miles, and Zella. I have completed my
Post Masters Certificate in Administration. I believe in facilitating and
challenging each student to achieve their highest potential. I am a firm believer
in communication and would like to welcome an open door policy to my classroom.
Please feel free to contact me for any questions or concerns.
